Kirstie Allsopp and Phil Spencer will announce the decision on tomorrow night, with the town’s residents having to endure a placing in the top ten for the third year in a row.
Middlesborough knocked old favourite Hackney off the top spot to be crowned 2007’s worst place to live.
“Each year we seem to create a storm of controversy with this survey but it’s all based on official data,” said Phil Spencer, according to the Daily Mirror.
On the flipside, Edinburgh has been voted the UK’s best place to live replacing last years number one, Winchester, which came in a close second.
Location, Location, Location: Best & Worst to Live will be aired on Channel 4 on 17 October at 9pm
