Building society the West Brom has added a new easy access account to its online savings portfolio WeBSave.
The WeBSaveR account pays a rate of 1.35 per cent AER/gross per annum variable and offers customers unlimited access to their money.
The minimum opening balance is £1,000. Additional investments can be made at any time up to a maximum account balance of £250,000.
James Wright, the West Brom’s divisional director for marketing and e-commerce, said: “WeBSaveR is a simple and straightforward savings account which gives customers a competitive rate of interest and true easy access without unwanted restrictions.
“Add to this the flexibility that comes with managing your money via the internet and the overall proposition becomes very appealing.
“We expect strong demand for the WeBSaveR account from both existing West Brom customers and those who are new to the Society.”
