Barclays revamps residential mortgage range

Barclays is adding, from 26 June, new remortgage products to its residential mortgage range and is also reducing rates on existing deals.

rate cut (house, percentage)The bank is launching two new further advance products at 80 per cent loan-to-value (LTV) with no application fee. The deal fixed for two years comes at a rate of 2.29 per cent and the five-year fix is available at 3.13 per cent.

Barclays has further added two new two-year tracker rate deals in its Premier Exclusives range. The deals are available at a rate of 1.67 per cent and 70 per cent LTV. The application fee for loan sizes between £1 million and £3 million is £999 and for loans from £ 3 million to £5 million, the fee is £4,000.

For borrowers with small deposits, Barclays has reduced several deals at 90 per cent LTV in its residential mortgage range, including:

*A 3.15 per cent two-year fix with £999 application fee

Andy Gray, managing director of mortgages for Barclays, said: “We know how important a low monthly payment is for borrowers and we are doing our bit to help people save money with the launch of some of the lowest residential remortgage rates in the market.

“This is another great example of Barclays helping more customers to achieve savings when buying a first home, remortgaging or those looking to take their next step on the property ladder.”
