Four in 10 (41%) UK homeowners viewed six or more properties before buying their last home, while 80% viewed more than three properties, new research has revealed.
According to Your Move, buyers in the South East seem to need the most choice, with over half (51%) viewing six or more properties, closely followed by buyers in the South West (48%).
In contrast, homeowners in the North West were the least likely to view this many properties (30%) and buyers in Wales were the most likely to purchase the first property they saw (16%).
Oliver Blake, managing director at Your Move, said: “Even though some homeowners are lucky enough to fall in love with the first or second property they view, the majority take more time to make an offer on the perfect home.
“The results of our survey show that many home buyers are rightly being careful about making one of the most important financial decisions of their life.”
