Halifax is offering three customers the opportunity to have their mortgage paid off in full through its prize draw, which is being launched today.
The lender said anyone who applies for a qualifying mortgage between 5 November and 30 December will be put into the draw to win a host of prizes, which includes the chance to be mortgage-free.
While three winners will have their loan, up to the value of £300,000, paid off, 100 runners up will receive cash prizes of £1,000.
And customers applying throughout the prize draw period will also be able to take advantage of a £500 cashback.
Russell Galley, managing director of Halifax, said: “For most people, mortgage repayments are by far the biggest of their monthly outgoings, with mortgage freedom decades away from becoming a reality.
“I’m delighted that Halifax will be the first bank to offer a prize draw to help change the lives of three lucky mortgage customers, on top of our £500 cashback offer.”
To be eligible for the draw, customers must be homebuyers remortgaging to Halifax or must be Halifax customers changing those named on the mortgage.
They must also apply for a qualifying mortgage between 5 November and 30 December 2018, register for the draw by 31 January 2019 and complete their mortgage by 31 March 2019.
