TSB is rewarding customers who have energy efficient homes with £250 cashback, it announced today.
Borrowers taking out a mortgage with TSB whose homes have Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) ratings of A or B are eligible for the cashback deal.
It’s available across all TSB residential purchase mortgages, including shared ownership and shared equity. It also includes new-build properties with a predicted EPC rating of A or B. The cashback will be paid on completion.
The new product follows a range of support already on offer from TSB to help customers make their homes warmer and more cost efficient.
TSB has partnered with Snugg, a platform that provides customers with access to a free, personalised home energy improvement plan with options that can make their home more energy efficient and help to reduce their energy bills too.
Since the partnership launched in 2023, almost 5,000 TSB customers have registered with Snugg with over three quarters said they were more likely to make improvements after using the service. After completing a Snugg improvement plan, the estimated annual energy bill saving is £622 and the estimated average annual CO2 saving is 2,160kg, said TSB.
