Already, 8 per cent of Londoners have invested in a second home abroad, followed by 7 per cent in the South East and 5 per cent in Yorkshire and the Humber all topping the British average of 4 per cent.
If they havent already taken the plunge then thats not to say it hasnt crossed the minds of over half the city-jaded Londoners. The laid back Aussie lifestyle is the biggest pull for Brits looking to relocate to warmer shores.
Interestingly, on a global scale, Spain doesnt feature as highly on the British agenda as might be predicted, with Brits preferring the English-speaking US, Canada and New Zealand instead. However when narrowing the criteria down to European countries along, the country still reigns supreme alongside France.
