Clydesdale and Yorkshire Banks have updated their range of mortgages with their lowest ever remortgage rates.
The remortgage specials include a new two-year fixed rate of 1.79% and a five-year fixed rate of 2.69% with up to 80% LTV.
The banks said customers will have no legal, arrangement or funds transfer fees, while those who normally pay for a standard valuation will now get this free of charge.
Steve Fletcher, director of retail banking, said: “This is a great time to get new, lower remortgage fees wrapped up in time for Christmas and it puts customers in the best position to start the New Year.
