A new dawn

I am being very sensible and decided to make sure my 2005/06 tax return was completed – most people leave it till the last minute (beginning of January).

My accountant tells me I’m doing the right thing. “Just go for it. Those flats have already gone up in value, and remember you can always rent out the second bedroom.”

That evening I moved my life out of the terraced home that had been my safe haven and office for the last six months.

My mum welcomed me with open arms. I’m still scared, and still waiting – but at least my deposit is – finally – building up in my bank account.
