A website for homebuyers has been launched by the government to help people who are looking to own their own home and explains the schemes available.
By answering a few simple questions, visitors to the website can find the government schemes that could help them.
According to the British Social Attitudes Survey, 86% of people have the ambition to own their own home. The government says it wants to support them and has announced a target of helping one million people into homeownership through government backed initiatives by 2020.
Since 2010, over 200,000 people across the UK have already benefitted from the government’s home buying initiatives, such as Help to Buy.
