The new rates are as follows:
4.99 per cent with a £995 fee for 60 per cent LTV
5.04 per cent with a £1,499 fee for 70 per cent LTV
5.24 per cent with a £995 fee for 75 per cent LTV
5.39 per cent with a £549 fee for 75 per cent LTV (up to a maximum of £150,000)
Last week, Abbey reduced the rate on its two-year fixed rate mortgages to 4.49 per cent with £995 fee for 60 per cent LTV and 4.79 per cent with a £995 fee for 75 per cent LTV.

We have been able to respond by offering borrowers very competitive rates starting from 4.99 per cent.”
